I heard about how great this place is being 50% off and that the rolls were good, so I was excited to finally try it out. When I did come with some friends, the service was slow and negligent. I asked for a straw that never came and my friends requested a to-go box after paying for their meal that took 30 minutes to arrive. The prices are good after the 50% off, but the quality of fish isn't good...the salmon and tuna were close to being similar colors when they should be distinctly different. The rolls are also small and not delicately prepared. The rolls came out messy and there was huge disappointment. I won't be coming back. However, if my friends decide to plan our next get together here & I had to come back, I'd avoid the rolls and maybe try their Korean food.

This place is legit, and the most affordable sushi you will find on top of that. That said, one has to accept that for such good food so cheaply, certain things are sacrificed. The people running this place clearly don't know much about running a restaurant. They are clearly understaffed. There is generally no host and there are not enough waiters for the amount of tables they seat, so waits can be quite long when they are busy, even after you've been seated. The last time we were there my table ended up writing down our order and finding a waiter to hand it to. The time before that, we were left standing at the front so long without anyone talking to us that we eventually just went and sat ourselves (we bussed a table ourselves that hadn't been cleaned). These are the lengths my friends and I will go to for the Blue Finn roll. If you go into it thinking of it as an amusing experience, where you will get to eat some great food for cheap, you may not mind. And if you don't go during the busiest hours, you will find the service decent. I believe that the longer they are open, they will figure things out a bit more. Right now it is just clear that they are all pretty green at working in a restaurant.

Very nice and quiet atmosphere. Perfect place to bring your kids here. I will definately come back. The rolls were surprisingly good, fits perfect in your mouth!

It was a new restaurant but we have been there twice already. They have sushi all 50% off, it was good and fresh. Haven't tried their entrees yet. The owner is very friendly, they've done a nice job to convert a Wenndy's into a nice sushi restaurant.

Blue Finn is suprisingly good. Not because I necessarily thought it wouldn't be good, but because I generally don't have super high expectations of places that are Sushi-Plus, e.g., sushi-plus-Chinese, or sushi-plus-deli, or, hell, sushi-plus-Italian. In my experience, sushi is best when the chef doesn't have to think about anything else, you know? But I am happy to be proven wrong with Blue Finn's sushi-plus-Korean. Note: I've been to Blue Finn only three times, and I am usually hesitant to review anything until at least the third visit because--on the off chance anyone reads and trusts me on such matters--I would hate to lead anyone astray, good or bad, with raves or pans that were, in truth, based only on isolated incidents. But Blue Finn was so good both times that I just can't help myself. First came sushi lunch. We tried the salmon sashimi (my weakness)--which was among the best I've had in SLC--and three rolls, Avalanche, Black Dragon, Firecracker (I think). All terrific, with fresh, clean flavors and really nice presentation. (Although . . . pet peeve: what is UP with all SLC sushi joints jacking up the prices by 50+% and then advertising the "special" of 50% rolls? I mean, really. Who do we really think we're kidding with that one? Anyhoo.) Next was Korean night. I had the pork bulgogi and my companion had the dolsot bibim bap. Fanfreakingtastic, both. Admittedly, my pork was swimming in spicy oil, but nobody orders that dish for their health, for God's sake, and it was still sublime. And the array of side dishes was impressive for a place that doesn't specialize in Korean. The bibim bap did require some additional fixings to the tune of more bean paste and sriracha, but it was very satisfying, especially with its perfectly uncooked egg on top. One small, hopefully constructive criticism: the service was, well, not good. Like, at all. And not because it was busy (it wasn't), or because the server was surly (he seemed fine). But because he was just so uninterested in being helpful . . . ten minutes to greet us/take the drink orders, no response when I clumsily spilled my lemonade and had to use my one sad paper napkin to sop it up, etc. If Blue Finn would step that up they'd become an instant regular in my rotation.

I think this place is good to great! I thought the service was warm and maybe a bit slow but hey some need time to work out the kinks. Also the sushi was good, by far better then Red Ginger... No bugs and all. The Korean however was so amazing! I am definitely a fan of the Korean food we were served and was surprised that both the Japanese and the Korean food were nicely done. Usually one or the other falls short! I would give this place a try for some cheap good sushi.

If you like the other two nearby sushi places you need to try this place. It is not flashy but the rolls are awesome. I went back the next day because I thought it was such a great value. After talking to the chef I know why the rolls seem like they should cost a lot more; it is because he is a former chef at Takashi. Also the owner was way nice and she came and talked to me (I told her I used yelp to see if they were good). She told me about the one bad review over movie goers parking in her lot... after seeing the (obviously been there for years) signs that clearly say private parking and now a bunch of new ones... I think the owner has a right to keep the parking spaces for the Blue Finn. Anyone that eats at Red Ginger knows not to park in the other business lot. The funny thing is she said that when they walk in and ask her she has always said yes. I am writing this because I think a negative star review of a place, because someone wants to illegally park and not even patronize a place, is unfair. At least the reviewer said it was not about the food. Back to the food. The place was not as busy as I think it should be but that is fine by me (get my sushi faster). I'm sure that with the quality of the sushi and the price it will be a packed house daily. This is the place to go if you want a Takashi chef and like to get a great deal. Also the owner told me her family has owned (or still owns) another way more expensive sushi place for years so the recipes are time tested. I really liked the Blue Finn roll. Try it and help this place stick arround. :)

I adore this restaurant. The people are very friendly and very Korean. They are very accommodating and the food is soooo good. I am a huge sushi lover and this place has given me a place to go to and I can know it will be good. We go there as roommates regularly and have a lot of fun doing it. Its good enough food that it should be fancy but the environment is very laid back. I would highly recommend this place.

This place comes in at about a 6 out of 10 on the sushi scale. I got the Avalanche (good) The Sensei (over priced) and the Heart Attack (pretty good). The service was crazy slow and we were literally the only people there for lunch. From the time we sat down to the time we got our check was about an hour and a half so needless to say I won't be coming here on the lunch hour again.

OMG. How can it get any better than to turn Wendy's into a place with real food? I've been a couple of times now. One sushi roll with a Korean entree is a crazy good match. No complaints! Friendly, good service, the food is not sugared up or spiced down (white-washed). I've always found that the best food is not found in a theme restaurant ...it's found in places like this. I'd give it the fifth star if my request for "spicy" would have brought on more of a sweat :)

Took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I had some sushi that was good, and another hot dish I can't remember what it was called.

This place was such a surprise I didn't not expect the food to be that good. The prices are also very reasonable. The owners are Korean and they have a special Korean menu that is small but delicious.

We love this place! Skip Red Ginger and Ichiban and head here! The sushi is good for Utah. We prefer the quiet dining here to that of the other places. Our favorite rolls are the Rocky Mountain and the Lion King. 50% is a killer deal! The building looks like a burnt out Betos, truth, but you'll be pleasantly surprised once you are inside.

    (5)
  • Jacob W.

The sushi was good, but the service was slow. I got the impression that they were understaffed. Prices are very reasonable! All in all, a great place to go if you are with someone, or a group of people, that you want to talk a lot with and just enjoy some good, inexpensive sushi. A place to avoid if long, awkward silences are likely to happen.

  • Kaylah S.

Delicious! Large menu & 50% off sushi rolls is a steal. The sauces put on the sushi were a little creamier than other places I've tried in salt lake. For the total price of the meal, the service is to be expected. They are understaffed & very busy. Possibly because Red Ginger is currently remodeling.. Anyway I loved it! If you're wanting cheap sushi higher than grocery store quality but better price I highly recommend!

My roommate and I decided to try this place because our regular sushi joint, Red Ginger Bistro was super busy since it was a Friday night. I had seen the sign for 50% off and decided to give it a try. When we walked in we were promptly greeted by one of the employees and he told us what he recommended. I got a Vegas roll and a Rockstar roll and both were delicious! Very fresh and tasty. I'm not a sushi snob so I'm not hard to please but it was amazing! My roommate got chicken yakisoba and said it was really good. I'll definitely be coming again. Next time I want to try the crispy salmon! The waitress said it was amazing.

I went back today and I was just as pleased today as I was last week. This is my new sushi joint. The fact that it's in an old Wendy's in what is not the best part of town and looks from the outside like the worst possible place to expect to find good sushi only makes me like it that much more. As with last week, all the rolls were 50% off. I asked and they said it's been that way since they opened and they'll keep it that way for the time being. I spoke with the chef and discovered as another reviewer mentions that he used to work at Takashi. Some people here have criticized the service. I haven't had any problem with the service the two times I've been. Granted, I've been served by the same server both times. I'm not going to say the sushi is incredible or the best I've ever had. But it is definitely the second-best sushi I've ever had, and for me that's saying something. The rolls are huge. I was with four other guys and we tried 10 different rolls today and 9 out of 10 of them I really liked a lot. One just wasn't my thing. I love the Rockstar. They must use a creme brule torch on the top or something, because it's just slightly carbonized/burnt on top and it gives the roll an amazing taste. The Vegas is also great. I really should write down which other ones I like... The only thing that was a bit off today was that we ordered the calamari last time and we got a ton of it. Maybe they needed to get rid of it or something. Today we ordered it again and it was fried in a different batter (looked like it had coconut or something in it, last time it was a smoother surface) and there was about 1/3 as much. Still worth it, but not quite as impressive as last time. But I'm being a bit nitpicky here just to add some credibility to the review. Otherwise it was still awesome. Like Nate says, we sushi-lovers need to band together and keep this place in business, and keep that chef there. He's the key to the whole operation.

I went back recently and was much more impressed with this place than before. They offered better service with a newer menu since my first visit. The food was a bit slow though. If you like Korean food make sure to ask them for an additional menu. Great selections, taste and not to mention the portion size.

We spent the weekend in Utah and have had one bad experience after another, but this little sushi bar totally restored our faith in the cuisine offered in Utah. This was fantastic sushi! Would come here again. Prices were cheap but the quality was perfect!

Went for lunch today and we didn't want Red Ginger so we went up the street to Blue Finn. This place feels more Japanese then Korean. We ordered few rolls that were ok. The vegetable tempura was pretty awesome. House salads were average. Place was dead even tho it was lunch time. I want to try the korean food because it looked really good. Place was clean and owners seem to be hard workers. One thing they may want to work out is getting rid of the transients asking for money in the parking lot.

Not bad for a former Wendy's! This is the new discount sushi favorite in the area. Buh-Bye Red ginger and Ichiban. The green tea was top quaility. Sushi is good, but really loved the Korean dish I ordered. Forget the name, but it was a pork belly and tofu dish that came with all the great sides. Service was friendly and personal. I will be back.

I decided to try this place after reading some good reviews on here, also because of the 50% off sushi rolls. The sushi was a little better than similar places like Red Ginger, but just barely. The main reason I'm only giving it 2 stars is because of the really bad service. The owner lady was our server and she was really bad, she also didn't know the menu very well. We asked her about their vegetable roll and she didn't know what was in it. Another thing that bothered me was she was conducting business with a few people that came in right in the middle of the dining room. One of the guys that she was talking to was really loud and it went on for about 5 minutes. I don't really want all that noise around me while I'm having a meal, they should have went to a back room or outside. Anyway..... I wouldn't mind coming back and giving them another chance. Some of the rolls sounded interesting and the rolls we had were decent. Hopefully the owner/sereer will do a better job with the service and actually bring us water every once in a while without us having to ask. Another thing that I didn't like was that even though the sushi is 50% off they still charge you tax on the full price of the roll. Our rolls came out to $24 and they charged us tax on $48. I've never seen this anywhere, you're basically paying 16% tax. I think that sucks.

We celebrated my dad's 75th birthday at this place yesterday and it was a really good experience. This Korean owned restaurant featured Japanese and Korean dishes and my favorite ... sushi. The bibimbap in hotstone was very tasty. It almost burned my mouth because I couldn't wait to take a bite. Their kimchi is also good. My dad and the kids had the sashimi platter and sushi rolls. The fish was very fresh and the rolls were delicious (spicy girl, sensei, dragon, bluefinn). They were also half off. The rest of the family tried the beef sukiyaki (the sauce was good but was a little disappointing because they used udon noodles instead of vermicelli). Overall, good and friendly service and top notch sushi! Cant wait to take my coworkers there.

Best Sushi in SLC! Best price and best quality I have found. Service is slooow but if you have some time and have some good company, this is the place to go! Must try rolls: Sunset, New York, Ninja.

Some whiner flagged my last review, so let me restate so as to not offend the baby's delicate sensibilities: post your hours on yelp accurately. Otherwise, potential customers might drive all the way out there and arrive to find you closed. This will irritate the potential customers and may induce them to post unfavorable reviews on yelp.

Absolutely my favorite sushi. They have fair prices, fresh fish, and quick service. I like them so much I have take out from them during my lunch hour. Every once in awhile they lack in service but not worth fretting over.

dont mind the old wendys building, the sushi is good, and cheap, and the family is wonderful. theyve made the inside look wonderful and feep comfortable. mind you, the sushi is 50% off for a reason. dont expect high quality rolls at 5$. i recommend this place to anyone who loves cheap sushi :)

Yuck... at least the Sapporo was good! ... typical mom & pop shop. Its never good when the establishment was previously a Wendy's & now serves sushi.

This is by far the worst service I've had here in utah. We were the only two people there and it still took 20 min to get our first sushi roll. The server couldn't even wait on us properly because he was on his phone. My husband had to stand up and begin to walk over to him to get his attention. The only reason I am giving this place any stars is because the sushi was cheap and decent, but I can get cheaper, better and FASTER sushi right down the street.

We have been coming to this place for awhile now, and it is our favorite spot when we have a sushi craving. It is 50% off rolls everyday so it is a great value. The rolls are always delicious and fresh, and the service is great. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • Anne N.

On our mission to find cheap&good sushi in utah we stumbled upon this place. They have 50% all rolls all day everyday! which is nice since most of the 50% deals we have seen around slc are usually during the middle of the week. Service: we had 2 other couples with us, ordered at the same time, and they brought our our orders probably 2-3 minutes apart, which is almost at the same time so that was pretty good. Over all it didnt take that long to get our food. We wanted to split the check 3 ways and the waiter was pretty helpful with that. Atmosphere: it was pretty decent for a cheap sushi place. spacious enough for the 6 of us. Cute little lanterns above our head and they had the game on their TV at the bar area so the guys enjoyed that. Food: The fried rolls we had I didn't like much, tasted a bit too oily and old. Other rolls we ordered which was vegas, sunset, dynamite, playboy... cant remember them all but the sunset roll was definitely my most favorite. It was alright for the price (around $5.5, $6.5 or $7ish for each rolls). The rolls are definitely smaller than what i am used to. Between me and my fiance we usually get full around 3.5 rolls, but here we finished all 4 of ours and still had room for more. So..technically it wasnt as cheap as it looks. Over all I think it deserves 3.5 star (wish i can give half stars on yelp). Its a good place for a quick sushi fix, but wont be qualified as my top 5 cheap&good sushi places.

  • Kedy S.

The quality of food here is average any where else but for Utah, it's pretty good sushi. It looks like a crapper, and service isn't the best, but when the food is stupid cheap (50% off rolls) it's tough to complain. I did violate my rule of not eating sushi at korean restaurants but it turned out alright. I guess that's what sushi desperation does to you when you're in a land locked state. 1 star for the sushi quality, not bad for utah 2 star for price, stupid cheap negative stars for the poor service

Rolls are rock! We went there last night after work for my niece's birthday dinner. My daughter freaking loves Tempura udon. I ordered Yakisoba shrimp - sorry, it was too salty for me. My niece ordered Teriyaki chicken and she said it was too sweet. But we love the rolls.

  • Tia L.

So this isn't your expensive and exquisite dining experience, but it is delicious sushi especially for the price. I think this is the best half off sushi I've had. It's always fresh and great rolls. I personally like the Blue Finn one, hence the name of the restaurant. This is my favorite place when I need a sushi fix and don't want to spend a lot. I think Red Ginger and Ichiban are disgusting and glad I found this place. The restaurant is not that nice inside (not fine dining) or the bathrooms, but it is clean and you get what you pay for. I've come here numerous times and I'm still not disappointed.

    (4)
  • Scott R.

Another half off sushi joint right by the rest of them. I enjoyed my experience here more than others nearby. The service was fast and friendly. The sushi was good not great. But for the price I will never complain. Well unless I get sick. But that didn't happen so I was happy about it. I am sure I will pop back in here sometime.

Reading through my previous review, I come to the thought that apparently when I say one-and-out, I'm a great big fat liar...or possibly hope still burns so brightly within me, that scorching flame of optimism that I'm willing to give second chances...even places maybe less than deserving. I leave it to you to pick which of these potential characteristics you deem most fitting... Let's look at the positives here. The hostess/waitress and the people running this are really very, very nice. It's close to my work. The appetizers were ok. The green tea is excellent. There is no other Korean place in this proximity since Jangsoojang decided to up and relocate (I think). I guess E-Jo and Myung Ga aren't so far away, but running short of time, this is the nearest by far. As to the bads, there are 3 of the 50% off sushi places in close proximity to the intersection of 33rd South and State. It pains me to say it, but this is by far the worst of them, as far as sushi. But...maybe they're just rubbish at sushi and the Korean menu is good...so I thought as I convinced myself to go in. I did order a sushi roll also, just to check and it was as bad as I remembered. Tons of rice, stale fish, a sort of spicy "paste" topped with a mess of what I'm guessing was krab. Yeah, that sort of cements it there. Trying the Korean menu was a bit better. Presentation of the spicy squid was awesome. The food itself was ok, squid cooked reasonably well, nice degree of spice, thought the sauce it was in had an odd texture and seemed a bit ketchup-y to me. Definitely avoid the sushi here. Even at half price, it's still not worthwhile, but the Korean menu they seem to do better at (they also seem Korean, so that probably contributes) and there are enough positives to bump them up a star. Make no mistake, though. It wasn't what I would consider great, I haven't been to enough Korean places to know how it compares, but I'll probably at least consider ordering the bulgogi and the kalbi should I ever must up enough courage to want to try this again. That is, however, a big if...

  • Paul B.

Don't let the building fool you, it IS a restaurant...I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but that isn't possible. The rolls were really good and they were all 50% off, which makes me a little skeptical, but it turned out great. Nigiri was not the best, but decent considering it's Utah. The Korean good looked delicious, but it will have to wait til next time. The geisha roll was different, rolled on cucumber, but I really enjoyed it. Only real gripe was that they put some sort of sauce on almost everything. So, if that's your cup if tea you'll probably love it!

I love this place! The most affordable sushi in town. Four rolls and a bottle of saki for under forty bucks. I've never tried their Korean food, but it looks good too.

I'm generally pretty weary of a place that always offers 50% off sushi but a friend recommended this place a few years ago so we tried it out. It actually blew my mind how great it was! I'm a usually a downtown snob when it comes to restaurants because there are so many options but this place has a great variety of rolls and is fresh and affordable. The interior could use an upgrade (only reason I give them 4 stars).

This was a new restaurant I tried out for sushi. The bonus was there was also Korean food available, should one choose to have that or both. I had the Vegas, New York, and Mt Fuji rolls. My girlfriend went Korean and had the beef and tofu soup. Did I mention that ALL sushi was 50% off? I think there was some promotional thing going on and I'm not sure how long it'll last. The sushi was pretty good. I loved the fried Vegas roll. Crunchy and full of fishy goodness :) the other rolls were delicious, too. My girlfriend really enjoyed her beef and tofu soup. The best part was the tofu was in huge, soft chunks. This was different from many other Korean restaurants where there were smaller, cubed pieces of tofu in the soup. The place was sort of empty, but a few more patrons came in while we were there. Service was great. Also liked hearing some KPOP while I was scarfing down the sushi!

  • Garret N.

The sushi was cheap and plentiful and the service was good, but that's where the good stopped. The interior is filthy, the decor is a joke and the food was honestly pretty bad. A permanently 50% off sushi place is gonna be pretty low quality though; you kind of expect it.

  • Casen H.

I love this place. My husband and I go there regularly, and both of us are sushi snobs. Blue Finn's rolls are expertly made and always half off which makes them taste even better! This place is great for date night since its right by Century 16 movie theater. I am always amused by the music there as they seem to play NOW that's what I call music compilations from the early 2000's mixed with some Asian fusion music.... Always makes for feel goods and fun conversation.

This place completely surprised me. I have tried these 50% off sushi places before and while I've had better sushi, these places are not bad for cheap sushi when out running errands or out on a lunch date with my boyfriend. This is by far my favorite of all of the 50% off sushi places. My boyfriend really enjoyed his tuna nigiri and noodle bowl. I really enjoyed my 3 rolls. I wish I could remember the names. The waiter was friendly, service was fast, and I will definitely be heading back again soon!

I didn't enjoy my experience at this place and I'm pretty sure I will never go back. First off, the place really stunk. I don't know if it's just a winter thing or not, but it had a strong mildew/mold smell, which was an immediate turnoff. It was cold and empty and I didn't expect to be seated and served restaurant-style based on the building and all of the fast food-type signage that adorned the windows, but I was. On top of that, the food was just not good. I tried the Bulgogi - a usual favorite of mine - and I didn't enjoy it at all. It looked appetizing but it didn't taste good. I'm quite familiar with Bulgogi and know what to expect, but their dish didn't deliver. Besides the bad taste, the meat was of lesser quality as well - way too much gristle and fat. The sides that came with the meal were okay, but none of them exceeded the norm and a couple were a bit below it (out of four). I'm certainly not trying to bash the place - I give credit where credit is due - but the meal just wasn't any good. I did notice that the majority of reviewers have gone Japanese here (i.e., sushi, etc.) so perhaps that is where I missed the boat. But unfortunately, I went Korean and it resulted in one of the more off-putting, new-restaurant-trying experiences that I've had in a long, long time.

I was a little weary when I saw a sushi restaurant go into the old Wendy's by the Century 16 movie theater. One, because I was a little sad to see that Wendy's go, and two, that building doesn't seem like it should house anything but a fast food joint. After reading a few reviews, I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. They are offering half off all rolls to compete with Red Ginger but honestly? I think it's better. Much better. It's not quite as crazy busy, the service was better, and the sushi just tasted better. Combining Korean and Japanese is a little odd but I don't mind it. I had the bibimbap which is one of my favorite Korean dishes. It's rice served in a hot stone pot with veggies, a meat, and an egg. Top it with the delicious sauce and stir it all up. The hot stone makes the rice crunchy and delicious. Blue Finn doesn't have my favorite bibimbap in town but it's not bad at all. I've also had a few rolls and those were all tasty as well. The ones that stick out in my mind at the moment are the Honeymoon roll (mango, salmon, cilantro and jalapeno) and the Blue Finn (shrimp tempura, crab, lobster, spicy aioli and orange sauce). Everything we had was pretty fresh and you can't beat the price. The space isn't super nice but hello, it's in an old fast food restaurant. What can you really expect? But that being said, it's not bad. It's casual and clean. I'm excited to go back and try more.

So yummy!! I am obsessed with the Blue Finn roll and Sensei Roll. They have great (and fast) service! Very attentive and they fill up waters quickly. They even give me an extra side of spicy mayo every time I go in because they know I always ask for it. Great miso soup as well. They have fantastic spicy rolls!

I have been to the Blue Finn twice this summer and I want to go back this fall...or sooner. The atmosphere is casual but thoughtful with colored tablecloths and butcher paper on the tables. The Pork Bulgogi is in a delicious spicy sauce. It is cooked in the kitchen and served on a plate with rice. Salad comes with your meal, so if you wanted to wrap your bulgogi in your lettuce (the norm) save your salad or ask the sweet staff to bring you some undressed leaves. The beef bulgogi was good too, served in the same fashion as the pork, more steamed than grilled but not in the spicy sauce. Know that the bulgogi is sliced very thin and the pork is the winner. On my next visit I ordered the kim chi pork belly stir fry with tofu and it was seriously delish. I also got to try the tempura udon. The noodles were cooked perfect, served steaming hot with a generous plate of tempura including shrimp and tempura dip sauce. The staff here is eager to make a good impression. On my first visit I received a free sliced orange dessert, and on the second four red bean stuffed mochi balls. I love this Korean-Japanese connection! Mochi, ban chan, service with a smile, and thick kim chi pork belly! Go around 3 pm to see the owners cute children arrive from school. Or just go!

Worst place, this place does not deserve a single star. I waited almost one hour just to get a pair of chopstics. And they got me wrong menu. Will never return.

You know Red Ginger, literally 500 feet south of this place on State Street? Well please stop going there and just come here. It's cleaner, the ambiance is better, the servers are literally 10 times better, the sushi is slightly more authentic and lighter, and the price is equal. Just like Red Ginger, this place is half off on all rolls as well. Yes they serve saki and beer, yes this used to be a Wendy's, no it doesn't matter once you get inside. The service at Red Ginger is so horrid, and never in my life have I ate sushi that sat in my stomach like I ate mashed potatoes and hamburgers for dinner. The sushi here at Blue Finn is lighter, and just more well put together. Please come and support this place, if for no other reason because you're in the area going to Red Ginger, give this place a shot, I PROMISE you it won't be any worse.

The house salad is really good. I am a fan of the half off sushi and they are way better then Ichiban. I have a thing with fruit flies and Ichiban is full of them. Egh, yuck. We were happy to see at 9 pm on a Saturday the place was nearly empty. Great surprise. The location is weird, old Wendy's. But whatever. :)

I was so excited to try this sushi joint near the other two popular discounted sushi places nearby. To start off with, the service was slow. We had to ask for water 3 different times before we got it and our sushi sat on the counter for awhile before the server got it to us. The Vegas roll got cold and the scallops on top of our O2 roll were lukewarm. With the many sushi restaurant options springing up everyday, Blue fin has to step up their service and food. Very disappointed and will not go back for the sushi.
